LuxConnect’s Data Centers are carrier-neutral, multi-tenant and multi-Tier (Uptime Institute certified Tier II and Tier IV). So your racks and servers are in a highly secured, state-of-the-art environment.

Data Center specifications

Maintenance of electrical and HVAC equipment is carried out exclusively by trained experts from the DataCenterEnergie S.A. company. DCE is a 50/50 joint venture between LuxEnergie and LuxConnect. LuxEnergie acts as a specialist in energy contracting with recognised expertise in cogeneration.

Regardless of the bricks-and-mortar aspect of LuxConnect’s Data Centers, they constitute above all a secure, eco-friendly service environment where racks and servers feel at home.

Since the launch of the first Data Center in June 2009, LuxConnect has continuously improved the ecological footprint of operations: recycling and cogeneration are the drivers of a green energy policy.

On the “recycling” side, server heat loss heats office buildings, while recycled biomass is used to fuel the cogeneration plant of an energy partner.

Hot steam from that process not only produces electricity but is also the “raw material” helping servers within LuxConnect’s Data Centers to keep a cool brain.

Adding a little exoticism to the energy mix, LuxConnect sources hydroelectricity from Norway. While some may consider this a challenge, committing to a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) that ranges from 1.5 to 1.2 is a matter of obvious choice and social responsibility.
