Then, this job is for you, LuxConnect is looking for a General Accountant for the Finance team.
Main responsibilities
- Maintain the general and subsidiary ledgers of the Company and affiliated firms.
- Ensure details entry of all accounting records including bank transactions.
- Manage and record all accounting transactions in compliance with policies and regulations in force; verify, allocate, post, and reconcile Account payable and receivable.
- Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure reliability of accounting information, including fixed assets and reconciliations of intra-group positions.
- Prepare timely bank payments and monitor cashflow.
- Perform Period-end accounting tasks such as reconciliations, accruals, inventories, and stock adjustments.
- Assist and back up the account payable and account receivable accountants.
- Draw up monthly and annual VAT statements.
- Ensure data transmission and coordination with the fiduciary responsible for preparing tax returns and FAIA reporting.
- Support year-end close process, including related Journal entries.
- Prepare financial statements and participate in the annual budget process.
- Assist in auditing process by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentation.
- If requested, help preparing consolidated accounts and participate in the consolidation processes.
- Contribute to the elaboration of financial reports and statement for Management reviews.
- Respond to accounting inquiries from Management in a timely manner.
- Assist and participate in the development and implementation of policies, procedures and IT systems relating to financial Management, budget, and accounting.
- Review and recommend modifications to the accounting systems and procedures.
Main requirements
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting.
- You have at least 7 years of work experience in similar roles in a Fiduciary or Commercial company.
- CPA is a plus.
- You have solid accounting knowledge in accounting software (Business Central is the Company’s ERP).
- You are a team player encouraging collaboration and cooperative.
- You are well organized, proactive and solution oriented.
- You are able to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment.
- You are multilingual, proficiency in French, English. Knowledge of Luxembourgish and/or German and other languages is considered as an advantage.
