Introduced by LuxConnect, the session highlighted testimonials from Laurent Hever, Head of IT Services for the City of Dudelange, and Patrick Klein, IT Services Manager for the City of Ettelbruck, who have already adopted the solution. Today, twelve communes have already adopted it and are managing their infrastructure independently while complying with the requirements of the European NIS2 directive.
Patrick Klein emphasized the simplicity of implementation: no major difficulties, only a few occasional visits to the site are necessary, while offering many advantages, including better communication on maintenance and enhanced physical security provided by LuxConnect.
Laurent Hever also emphasized the budgetary control offered by the solution: a fixed rent that includes maintenance, security, electricity, and cooling costs, allowing municipal teams to focus on their core business.
Compliance with the NIS2 directive was also discussed: LuxConnect guarantees physical security thanks to a Tier IV infrastructure, also ISO 27001 and ISO 22301 certified, while municipalities can strengthen their cybersecurity through solutions such as “CISO as a service.”
Finally, sustainability was at the heart of the discussions. The City of Dudelange, which has been on board since June 2025, benefits from precise monitoring of its energy consumption. LuxConnect powers its Data Centers with 100% renewable energy, practices free chilling, and aims for carbon neutrality – all initiatives that are difficult to replicate at the municipal level.
This collaboration perfectly illustrates the national resilience strategy, combining digital security, environmental responsibility, and sustainable cooperation between public actors and LuxConnect.
