To follow its growth, LuxConnect is looking for a Project Technician Dark Fiber Network to enforce its Dark Fiber team. He will report to the Dark Fiber Network Manager. It is a full-time position (Bettembourg) which will be governed by an open-end contract in compliance with the Labour Code of Luxembourg.
The main responsibilities
• Contribute to the projects and activities related to the development, modification and preventive maintenance of the Dark Fiber Backbone or customer link requests;
• Support the Project Manager Dark Fiber Network in his missions and duties;
• Participate in the stand-by for emergency duties and in the helpline support related to Dark Fiber operations;
• Ensure Dark Fiber cable installations and connectivity of Data Center customers;
• Negotiate contracts with our subcontractors and coordinate and follow-up customer’s inhouse cabling projects;
• Create and deliver appropriate information and documentation of the equipment.
The main expectations to be successful in this role
• BTS or Bachelor in Telecommunications;
• 5 years of experience in a similar position;
• Drive for results and able to meet deadlines;
• Planning and organizing resources to get things done and orchestrating multiple activities to accomplish the mission/project;
• Multilingual in French and English. Luxembourgish or German would be considered an advantage;
• Team player;
• Experienced with MS Office Suite.
