Point-to-point Ethernet connections can be provided as 1 Gbit/s and as 10 Gbit/s connections. These connections are fully transparent. Point-to-point Ethernet connections are available on single- or multi-mode fiber with either a short- or long-haul interface.

Point-to-point synchronous connections can be provided as 2.5, 10 and 40 Gbit/s connections. For these connections the payload is fully transparent. The overhead bytes are transparent for all major applications. Point-to-point synchronous connections are available on single-mode fiber with either a short- or long-haul interface.
