International Connectivity
LuxConnect’s international optical service, connecting Luxembourg to the Internet hubs in Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt and Paris, is provided directly on the Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) layer.
“International Wavelength” is currently only available as a point-to-point unprotected backbone service link between LuxConnect’s Wavelength locations.
The LuxConnect locations or points of presence (POPs) are documented here
The fiber design of the network has prioritized latency, going for the shortest achievable distance. However this was offset by diversity meaning that when many international operators were using a particular segment, another route was taken.
